Caption: Winter, 1964. Stephen Paige, senior architect, O'dell, Hewlett and Luckenbach Associates of Birmingham, designed the outdoor concert facility, working in cooperation with Christopher Jaffe to achieve the finest sound possible. The reputation of the Meadow Brook acoustical design has been upheld throughout the 25 seasons of music-making by classical and contemporary artists. Mr. Paige died in 1983.
