Mr Oliver Barrett
38 S Dearborn Street
Chicago Illinois

Dear Mr Barrett:

The writer had a very interesting conversation with Harry Houdini, in which he suggested that we send you copies of the assassination of Lincoln and the disposition of John Wilkes Booth. Herewith are the first three; there will be four or five more which will be forwarded to you as they appear. We feel that this series will forever quiet the stories to the effect that Booth escaped.

I have often heard about your wonderful Lincoln collection and sometime when I am in Chicago hope to have the pleasure of seeing you.

Very truly yours
